Christmas, and I discovered last night there’ll be no club runs for 2 weeks. TWO WEEKS!
OK, one of them falls on Christmas Day, another on New Year’s Day, but c’mon …. what’s a guy supposed to do without his Tuesday and Thursday night runs and running buddies?
It’s a salutary remainder of how important running with a club has been for me. And I count myself very lucky to have Kings Heath Running Club nearby. It’s inclusive, very well managed, offers a huge amount of support to runners at all levels and abilities, and is made up of some of the nicest people you could hope to meet. Several members have been incredibly supportive of my own attempts to get better over the past year and their encouragement has been central to the progress I’ve made. Thanks all!

Anyhow, fortunately an offer has already gone out to do a non-club run on one of those days over the holiday and I’m sure others will soon appear on Facebook.
NB: Managed to do all my core strength exercises again today!
parkrun at Cannon Hill on Christmas Day? It’s at 9.30 I think, but do check. There’s a parkrun at Brueton on New Year’s Day if that helps? I’m planning on going, as there’s not one at Cannon Hill.

Definitely up for the Brueton run. Will have to miss Cannon Hill on Christmas Day as we have visitors and a meal to prepare. Hope to see you on a run or two over the holiday!
