A very pleasant club run tonight. I parked a mile from the school so managed to add 2 miles to the normal distance (not recorded above) and took the main 4 miles easy at a 9.30 pace. This is a lot slower than the programme had me down to do and I didn’t vary the pace either, but I felt like treating myself to a gentle run tonight.

It was also my first run with the Garmin. I had trouble seeing the screen, something I’ll try and sort out as keeping an eye on my pace was the main reason for buying it. But it synced with Strava no problem at the end and I’m looking forward to learning how to get the most out of it.
In other news, it’s Anna’s second exam tomorrow. She’s been incredibly dedicated with her revision and deserves to smash it. Fingers crossed it goes as well as the last exam, Anna!
When I had my first pair of running glasses, the optician made them all distance though my others are varifocals, and after a few months I could not see my watch! So now I have a little reading bit in the bottom. It takes a while to get used to a running watch though. Good work leaving the car a way away – that’s further than I get to run up to club run (I always think I’ll go the long way round then never get time). As I’m helping with Lee’s learners on Thursday, I treated myself to a daylight run yesterday!
