‘So what about Day 54?’ I hear you ask. Well, it was the second day of feeling grot and there was absolutely nothing to report. I did spend the day wondering how many missed runs it takes for me to lose fitness, just enough mithering to force me out of bed this morning to turn up for parkrun.
I’m glad I made the effort. This was parkrun number 50 and despite a lot of heavy breathing I got round in a reasonable 26.32, 3 minutes slower than last week but not bad considering I was planning on taking another day off.
I was particularly keen to turn up today as I have the 16 mile run tomorrow. This will be my longest distance yet and my confidence needed a run today to face the challenge!
