A different approach to the Club run tonight and very enjoyable it was too. I don’t know whether it’s my gluteus maximus (that well known Roman emperor according to Colin) or a joint just above this area, but I still have aches at the back of my hips following Sunday. So I decided to go off with the 10.30 group tonight and stayed with them all the way to Feck Hill, when I did a bit of a sprint. I managed to have a nice chat with Emma and Sean about marathon training and got round without the aches and pains getting any worse. I added a mile there and back as well, so all in all a good 10k.
I’m still trying to work out if my marathon pace is 9.30, 10.00, 10.30 or maybe slower still. I’ll get the chance to find out soon as today I finally booked the Notts20 on the 17th March.
Nice one! I’d go for the middle figure myself … A bit of foam rolling might help the glutes and back.
