Ignoring the fact that we’re all going to fry eventually thanks to global warming, the weather today is currently a wonderful 17 degrees with wall-to-wall blue sky. With another commitment stopping me doing the Tuesday Club run, I opted for a solo 7 miles around here earlier.
This was the first trip out for the new trainers and I barely knew I had them on. I really like these Mizunos: with a pair of good socks the runs feel very comfortable indeed.
But it was a hot one, and reminded me of the runs during the summer. Still not sure whether I prefer cold winter runs or those like today. So, it’s over to Harry Hill …
Cold over hot for me any day!

To be honest I probably agree. In terms of organised runs, having to stand around in the cold isn’t much fun but once you get going, the cooler temperature is a blessing.
